Keeping with the previous weeks landscape theme, the house upon the hill was my pick for week 3 of the year.
Shot on the Fujifilm X-H2 with the XF 16-55mm f2.8 lens, this photo was taken near Redmires on the edge of the Peak District. I’ve shot this house/hut so many times but never actually known the spots real name, we tend to just refer to it as ‘The Haunted House’, a name and suspicion passed down from my dad who used to walk there when he was a youth.
I’d originally planned to shoot Sheffield city centre, but after an hour or so walking around I just had no inspiration to capture anything and decided to take the dog out in the Peak instead. Luckily, the clouds broke and the light was incredible for about 30 minutes just as I arrived at the spot, allowing me to capture some great moments in the sun before the grey conditions returned.
