I’m not much of a landscape photographer, but I seem to have spent a fair amount of time out in the Peak District to start the year.
I shot this image on my little EDC camera, the Canon EOS M6, with the 22mm f2 pancake lens, while one a location scouting session for a commercial video shoot. Taken between Lawrencefield and Padley Gorge, I liked how the green mossy foreground rocks contrasted with the bare winter trees, and the golden lighting really topped it off for me.
I’ve been consistently impressed by the performance of the little Canon M series camera, to the point I’ve been planning on taking it as the main camera for some upcoming shoots I’ve got planned.
The largest challenge shooting this image was trying to keep my labrador Doris from walking in the frame while lining it up.
